A front room for charts that have to be argued with

How the company began

Niran Chaiyasit had spent six years on a research desk at a regional grocer, turning weekly sales extracts into charts the buying team would actually argue with. Mira Adelman had come from print rooms and was tired of charts that looked finished and said nothing. In March 2017 they took the rooms on Soi Tonson, bought the lacquered table that still sits in the front room, and registered Lucid Workbench Co., Ltd.

The first outside commission came from a payments firm in Silom that needed to see whether a new transfer shortcut was being used twice or only once. That question is still the shape of the work: product analytics as a count of what people did with a feature, feature adoption reporting as a commissioned brief, and user-behavior insights as a reading of a path someone can name. The company has stayed in Lumphini. Anchalee Srisuk joined in 2021 to keep the calendar and the incoming tables.

How a commission is handled

Clients export. We do not log into their products. Definitions of trial, return, and drop-off are written down before a plate is inked. Mira will not draw a plate that lacks a sample and a date window. Niran writes in plain sentences and states what the charts cannot show. Recommendations stay with the client unless they ask for one in the scope, and even then the plate remains the evidence, not the advice.

What we hold to

Name the sample. Show the limit. Leave a thin week as a thin week. Treat Thai and English event names as a real constraint of products used in Thailand, not as a footnote. Keep the client’s numbers out of any description of the method we might tell the next visitor.

The registered office is 64/5 Soi Tonson, Lumphini, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330. The studio is open Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 to 17:00, by appointment. Saturday closings are arranged when a team cannot come on a weekday.
