What belongs in the event table before a behavior reading

A path reading stands or falls on four fields. Everything else in the export is either useful context or a risk you did not need to take.

Teams often send us a warehouse dump and apologize. The apology is kind and the dump is hard to read. A User-Behavior Reading needs a narrow table, not a tour of every column the pipeline stores.

Four fields do the work. A person key that is stable across the window, already hashed if you can hash it. A time, with the timezone written once in the note, not guessed from the filename. An event name that a human on your team still recognizes. And a way to know the person could have been on the path: the screen was available, the build included it, the account was not excluded.

Bring a segment only if you already use it. City, new account, saved list, language of the build. Do not invent a segment the night before so the plate looks thorough. If you have both a Thai build and an English build, say so, and send the event names from each. We have redrawn more than one path because the same tap was logged under two labels, and the chart showed a departure that never happened.

Leave out passwords, card numbers, national identifiers, free-text notes from support, and precise home addresses. We do not need them to see where a path thins, and we do not want them in the studio. A hashed person key is enough to tell a return from a new face.

Name the start event and the end event in the same email as the file. “Quote accepted” is a start or an end only if you say which. If you cannot name both, the file can wait. We would rather postpone than choose your path for you and hand you a plate of our guess.

Before the file leaves your side, open the first fifty rows yourself. Check that times move forward, that one person key is not shared by an entire office, and that the end event actually appears. Anchalee checks the same things when the file arrives. If the first fifty rows are empty of the end event, she writes back the same day and the three-week clock does not start.

A clean table is not a beautiful table. It is a table where every row can be pointed at in the closing call without a caveat you forgot to mention. That is the standard the plates are drawn to.
